Miss Higgins' class finished studying the Maori culture from New Zealand. The students were able to demonstrate some of their understanding through poi performances, using colorful objects with choreography. A fun way to discover other parts or the world!

Check out this great opportunity for young students! We're looking for spirited skiers from grades 2nd through 6th (6-13 years old) to take on a snowy challenge. The best part? There are spots for the first 25 students, and we're giving a high-five priority to those with some skiing experience – you guys are our snow stars! Race Categories: Beginner (1km): Perfect for our newbies who want to feel the thrill of racing independently. Intermediate (3km): Calling all ski enthusiasts with a bit of experience – here's your chance to shine in a slightly longer race. Advanced (3km): For our seasoned skiers ready to show off their skills in a more competitive setting. This will be independent skiing - no adults on the course during the race. To secure your spot and get more details, reach out to Mrs. Ceci Aho. Hurry up, as the deadline for registration is February 7th, 2024! ceci.aho@ironwoodschools.org 906-932-0932 x231

We had a fun and creative STEM event Tuesday evening here at Ironwood! Students were able to make cell phone holders, slime, plastic cup creations, playdough, and marshmallow structures. They learned how to play a piano made of gummi bears, and how to operate colorful robots with an iPad. There were plenty of smiles to go around!
