Students are on the third week of learning to skate through the Ski, Skate, Snowboard program provided by Mt. Zion. Students learn balance and speed skills in order to skate alone. At the end of the program, they will play a game of kickball on the ice. Looks like fun!




Seventeen members of Accent traveled to Northwestern HS Tuesday to represent Ironwood in the All-Conference Choir. Aidan Bach and Noah Hofstede were selected to sing solos. Congratulations to all for a great performance!

Miss Higgins' class finished studying the Maori culture from New Zealand. The students were able to demonstrate some of their understanding through poi performances, using colorful objects with choreography. A fun way to discover other parts or the world!

Last Friday, Miss Ashley Dennis came to to our monthly 4-H STEM activity. The students had the opportunity to make bouncy balls. The students really enjoy these activities each month!

On Thursday, many of our JV and Varsity players visited the younger students and gave out autographs. Everyone had a great time!






The pep assembly provided all kinds of entertainment this afternoon!










It was hard to miss these girls on Neon Day this week!

We had a fun and creative STEM event Tuesday evening here at Ironwood! Students were able to make cell phone holders, slime, plastic cup creations, playdough, and marshmallow structures. They learned how to play a piano made of gummi bears, and how to operate colorful robots with an iPad. There were plenty of smiles to go around!










Check out this great opportunity for young students! We're looking for spirited skiers from grades 2nd through 6th (6-13 years old) to take on a snowy challenge. The best part? There are spots for the first 25 students, and we're giving a high-five priority to those with some skiing experience – you guys are our snow stars!
Race Categories:
Beginner (1km): Perfect for our newbies who want to feel the thrill of racing independently.
Intermediate (3km): Calling all ski enthusiasts with a bit of experience – here's your chance to shine in a slightly longer race.
Advanced (3km): For our seasoned skiers ready to show off their skills in a more competitive setting.
This will be independent skiing - no adults on the course during the race.

Don't forget - our Kids Heart Challenge is still going on!

Our school Spelling Bee took place Wednesday morning. In 8th grade, Lilly Maus took first place, and Payton Wiseman was the runner up. In 7th grade, Freya Slaughter took first place, and Makayla Dudich was the runner up. In 6th grade, Carson Freeman took first place, and Adeline Schwartz was the runner up. And in 5th grade, Vivienne Garvan took first place, and Jayden Delvis was the runner up. Lilly, Freya, Carson, and Vivienne will go on to the Regional Spelling Bee in Bergland, which takes place on February 15. Congratulations to all participants!




It's a fun time during Winterfest! Today was Bring Back Summer Day. It nearly worked! We expect to see some bright colors tomorrow for Neon Day!
